Biography

Mary DeCamp

Mary graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Business, Communication & Political Science department at the University of Arizona with her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991. She was awarded the Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Arizona in 1994, and is currently finishing the Ph.D. Program at the University of Arizona, Communication Dept. in Organizational, Small Group, and Interpersonal Communication.

Community and Civic Experience

  • Instructor for University of Arizona & Northern Arizona University Distance Learning Campus for the past 6 years
  • Member of Electoral Integrity Commission for Pima County
  • Vice President of Mountain View Neighborhood Association
  • Founding member of Tucson Life Cache, a local currency movement
  • Community volunteer efforts include Lend-A-Hand, Red Cross blood donor, Art Committee Chair for Grace-St. Paul's Episcopal Church, tutor at Sweetwater Ranch for Literacy Volunteers, Tucson Planning Council for the Homeless Independent Review & Ratings Committee
  • Community participation includes Socrates Saturday Morning Forum, Women In Black, Code Pink, UA Student Union Memorial Center Focus Group Coordinator
